Today our collaboration partner, Babette from the Netherlands, sent us a picture of herself!
This is her:

And here is a picture of us, Yara Zimmermann on the left and Julie de Ruijter on the right:

At the moment we are collecting our trash for two weeks. We started on Monday, February 28. We will collect our waste until Sunday, January 13.
We are happy that we could fix the data with our collaboration partner, my cousin in the Netherlands. Because the communication is rather difficult, because our partner has a full-time-job.
We will ask our partners to send a few pictures of themselves and their collected waste. Then we will also see how much waste she has consumed within two weeks compared to us. We will share our experiences, difficulties, highlights and more from those waste-collection weeks.
Starting Monday, January 14, Yara, me and our Collaborationpartner will reduce our waste consumption as much as possible.
Best regards,
Yara and Julie

Like any product, an eco-design product has to be attractive in order to be manufactured and appeal to consumers. Designers therefore need to meet a variety of requierements.

Being hungry means more than just missing a meal. It’s a debilitating crisis that has more than 820 million people in its grip, with millions more now under its threat due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Why did I chose to write about this subject?
I chose to write about this subject, as it is and will be a very current topic. I as well am interessted in how the the Pandemic reinforces this worldproblem.

#global-hunger
Hunger is a perilous cycle that passes from one generation to the next: Families who struggle with chronic hunger and malnutrition consistently go without the nutrients their minds and bodies need, which then prevents them from being able to perform their best at work, school, or to improve their lives.
What effect is COVID-19 having on the global hunger crisis?
As Coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to spread around the world, it is now reaching countries most vulnerable to the health and economic impact of the virus. People fleeing conflict, living in poverty or without access to healthcare face greater risk from this pandemic.
Our response to COvid-19
In response to the crisis, there are foundations where we can donate to. Foundations which are focusing efforts on protecting health, which includes public outreach, clean water and sanitation services. Teams that are on the front lines, meeting immediate needs such as cash distributions to provide families with food, soap and health care. Human heros, which strengthen economies by supporting smallholder farmers and small businesses through this crisis.
